This is Film.io’s biggest release ever, and it changes the game for fans and creators alike. At the heart of Version 4.0 is the Superfan Framework, a bold new era where your passion doesn’t just support your favorite projects, it gives you exclusive access, exciting perks, and puts your name on the big screen!

Superfan Points: Power Up Your Superfandom

Earn Superfan Points every time you take actions that support a project: staking (voting), sharing, participating in conversations, referrals, and more. Becoming a Superfan of a project that's participating in the Filmio Perks Program unlocks instant rewards like the Superfan Film Credit, which adds your name to the end credits of participating projects once they are produced, and makes you eligible for digital collectibles, swag, table reads, and other benefits. The more you engage, the higher you climb on each project’s leaderboard and the better your chance is to earn even more exclusive perks and prizes. 

Perks: Time-Based Drops You Don’t Want to Miss

Get ready for a wave of epic perk drops tied to the projects you love. If a project is participating in the Film.io Perks Program, Superfans gain access to a dynamic, gamified perks experience that rewards the most passionate superfans.

• Live Countdown Timers show which perks are currently active and can be earned right now, don’t miss your window to strike.

• Earned Perks Section highlights the exclusive rewards you’ve already claimed on each project, so you can flex your fandom.

• Upcoming Perk Drops are also listed in advance, giving you time to prepare, strategize, and show up when it matters most.

These drops are limited in time & quantity and only available to true Superfans. Whether it's digital collectibles, behind-the-scenes content, table reads, or exclusive calls with the creators, the perks are as exciting as the projects themselves.  Make sure you don’t miss out!

Every project now has its own leaderboard, showcasing the top fans making the biggest impact. Climb to the top for the chance to earn epic perks and cement your legacy as a project’s ultimate Superfan.

Revamped DAO Tier Leveling System: Now using Superfan Points

Superfan points now power your DAO Tier, unlocking a more dynamic and flexible path to level up, earn premium perks, and amplify your governance influence across the entire Film.io ecosystem.

• DAO Tiers are calculated based on total Superfan points that are earned across all projects.

• Add unlimited videos and images to showcase your project exactly how you want (videos can be embedded through youtube and vimeo links).

• Have a new pitch video, trailer, teaser, or behind-the-scenes clip?  Add it to your carousel and instantly level up your project packaging page with exciting new content!

• Want to share this content with your fans?  Click the “Share to newsreel” icon on the media you want to share, add any message content, hit post, and it instantly appears in the platform-wide Newsreel, keeping your fans engaged and your project in the spotlight.

Whether you're announcing a major milestone or sharing your creative journey, the improved Creator View gives you the tools to broadcast your story with ease.

Fan Dashboard: Your Command Center

Welcome to your new homebase. The Fan Dashboard gives you a 360° view of your journey across the Film.io platform.

• View the projects you’re supporting, your superfan rank, and the perks you earned

• Platform Pulse section with updates & news

• Quick-action project shortcuts for things like staking, sharing, and perks

• Newsreel widget with updates (even from projects you haven’t followed yet)

• Referral performance tracker to see who joined from your link and what you’ve earned

• A Quests section to track active quests and keep earning as you explore.

Navigating Film.io is now faster, smarter, and more intuitive than ever with the brand-new side navigation menu.

Filmio Perks Program

The Filmio Perks Program is rolling out! In addition to the Superfan Film Credit, we will soon be implementing a system that allows you to compete with fellow Superfans for exciting perks, such as: behind-the-scenes access, meet and greets, exclusive digital collectibles, FAN Token rewards, and so much more!

• How to determine if a project is participating in the Filmio Perks Program? We've made it easy, find any project with gradient button text that says "Superfan Perks" (see below) and you're all set!

  

• Explore Page Filters make it easy to find all participating projects!

  

• So how do I become a Superfan? Great question! The requirements to be a superfan is to follow the project and stake (vote) with at least 100 $FAN. If you're not already a Superfan of a project, simply click the 'Become a Superfan' button on any participating project and we'll handle the rest. Remember to keep engaging with these projects (staking, sharing, participating in newsreel conversations, etc) to climb the project's leaderboard and have a shot at exciting perks!

  

• How do I know if a project is 'not' participating? if you see the inactive looking Superfan perks button (below), it means the project is not currently participating in the Filmio Perks Program. Not to worry though, these projects can always join at any time and when they do, you will automatically receive your Superfan Film Credit and be eligible for other exciting perks.

  

Superfan Film Credit

When you become a Superfan of a project that's participating in the Filmio Perks Program, you're eligible for exciting perks, such as the Superfan Film Credit.

• Get Recognized: Your Superfan Film Credit cements your name in the end credits when the project is produced! Show it off to your family and friends and let them know how you helped greenlight the future of entertainment!

  

• Where can I find my Superfan Film Credits?: Your credits can be found on your profile page within the new Superfan Film Credits section. You can also view a detailed version of the Superfan credit with your personalized information by clicking on each of them.
