We're excited to announce the release of Film.io Version 1.9.6. This update focuses on streamlining your experience and resolving key issues, ensuring a more enjoyable journey on our platform.

What's New:

  • Blockchain Transaction Reconciliation: We've upgraded our code to better reconcile blockchain transactions. This new system will automatically fix most transactions that get stuck in processing, reducing frustration for our members and ensuring smoother transactions. If you see a transaction stuck in processing for a few minutes, give it about 5 minutes to deploy the auto-fix solution.

  • Image Optimization and Lazy Loading: Images on our platform will now load faster and more efficiently. We've drastically improved the loading and sizing of images, which means quicker page loads and a smoother browsing experience. We have also implemented browser-native lazy loading of images, which should result in faster page load times as well.

  • Gasless FGR Staking and Claiming: We're happy to share some updates relating to staking and claiming Fan Governance Rewards (FGR) within our gasless experience, emphasizing our commitment to providing a gas-free experience to our DAO Community:

    • Optimizing Network Efficiency: In our gasless platform, we're adjusting the minimum stake requirement to 10 FAN Tokens per stake. This change is designed to optimize network performance and ensure that every staking action contributes meaningfully to the Film.io ecosystem without imposing gas costs on our users.

    • Encouraging Long-Term Commitment: We're introducing a minimum claim threshold of 5 FAN Tokens, this is to encourage our community members to stay engaged for the long term and accumulate rewards that truly reflect their dedication and commitment to Film.io, also without incurring any gas fees.

    • Keeping Costs Minimal: Film.io is already a gasless platform for users and the adjustments we're making to FGR staking and claiming are specifically aimed at ensuring that this cost-efficiency remains a core aspect of our platform. Your experience with Film.io is designed to be accessible and affordable, allowing you to fully enjoy the benefits of our ecosystem without the burden of any fees.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where project reviews data was not reflecting in the project stats for newly added projects.

  • Addressed the abnormal increment of FAN Tokens on multiple retry clicks in all environments.

  • Resolved the issue where updating a project removed images from the Project Story field.

  • Fixed the bug where images were not saved when added to the Project Story field.

  • Introduced a modal warning against refreshing the browser during an active stake transaction to help reduce transaction processing times.
